The Futura Series debuted around 1974 if I recall. The first was the 900, a flat bed model. Had its fair share of woe's, but worked alright. It was followed by the 920 with a silver stripe in the lid, it also had its share of woe's, but was easily fixed up. Finally the Gold Leaf Type Lid unit appeared, and of all, it was pretty much problem free out of the box. But that is just my opinion.
The 900, 920 included add on patterns, where the 925 did not. The 1030, and 1036 followed after the Futura, and if I recall were labeled as "Creative Touch " The 935U was mainly a school release, but did find its way into many homes, and it utilized an Apollo bobbin case system. The 1411, and 1425 followed along, but they went back to using a Touch & Sew type bobbin case system. They were built in a Futura style frame, but the internal workings are different than the Futura line.
Also on this page is a parts schematic for a Futura 1000G, even though labeled "Futura", it is the German equal to an Athena 2000, but does utilized the Touch & Sew bobbin case system. I have never worked on one, nor seen one in real life.
