PLEASE NOTE - METAL FEED DOG REPLACEMENT
Some users have reported problems when using the Metal Feed Dog replacements.
Mainly for item 181843M, the metal feed dog replacement for the Touch & Sew, Athena, and some Futura 920 machines.
They perform general sewing just fine - however - on the Athena for example, the little dog, flower, honeycomb,
and other stitches do not turn out as they use to with the original rubber feed dog.
Plus: 181843M does require modification to actually fit correctly.  In my 30 plus years, I have yet to install a pair that didn't  require modification.
The short of it, they are to long, the over all length needs to be reduced.  If you take a look at the picture for 181843M, you may notice that they
have a tapered angle on the front of the feeds.  That tapered area hits the front of the needle plate on maximum stitch length.
I do take the liberty to modify any set I sell before mailing them out.  The front angle area is removed to ensure a proper fit.
